I searched and investigated for quite some time to find the right training company. None of the courses that I found quite sat right with me until New Insights was recommended to me by a friend of a friend. As soon as I visited their website the whole ethos of the company resonated with me.

My favourite things about the NI certification included: 1) the ability to train long distance and 2) the practice hours required to certify.
Despite the distance learning format I still felt very supported and queries and feedback were always responded to quickly. As I was working and living in Singapore at the time, I was very grateful for this certification opportunity.
Even though the number of practice coaching hours seems daunting at first, I personally found this the most effective training method. Ultimately, the more coaching I did, the more confident I became and having the confidence in your abilities is SO important when you first qualify. It's so much more powerful than what you can learn in a book. Also, I think the longer training period (up to 2 years) also instils confidence in yourself over qualifying in e.g. an intense weekend course.
Saying that, the workbooks and study material was also very beneficial. I'm still referring back to it now and I think always will as it provides such clarity and inspiration for successful coaching methods. The methods and advice are always translated into easy, digestible and applicable language that you can identify and then also apply in your own coaching. It's not too academic.
Ultimately, I'm very pleased with my New Insights certification experience. I feel confident as a life coach going into practice by myself and I'm reassured by NI being a accredited trainer and also recognised by the ICR.

I started the New Insights Life Coach Training Programme simply for my own personal development. In the back of my mind, I thought, “perhaps I could become a life coach one day,” but at the time I was definitely doing it for myself.

This certainly was quite a ride!
I didn’t realise how little I knew and at the same time how much I knew. I was surprised that there were theories and principles to explain things that I knew intuitively to be true.
That was reassuring and very useful in helping me explain it to others so that they may know too. I think this course should be mandatory at school. So that as we venture out on life’s path, we can stick more closely to what we know to be our true selves or if we choose another path that we have the tools to return to our true selves when we are ready.
The personal development exercises in this course are so powerful they quickly bring you back to the truth. I was shocked by the speed with which they worked for some of my clients. The New Insights programme is incredibly in-depth. What you learn about yourself, as well as the people that you work with on a coaching level, is mind-blowing. Who knew people had 'rules'!
I have completed 4 day coaching seminars and courses in which, after those 4 days, you leave being told "you are now a coach" but the truth is, I honestly don't know how I could have coached them in such a way as to get the results that my clients got with this programme.
